I recently got the chance to see the worlds tallest building in Dubai, Thanks to the Bar-one Manhunt TV show.
And boy is it impressive, see this chart to give you some idea of what i am talking about.
It is so amazing. Its the first time in my life that i have experienced looking at a building then needing to take a few steps backwards and then look up again because the first time i looked i couldn’t see the top. I didn’t get the change to go inside but apparently it has Offices, Flats, Hotel and Shopping center.
Its so tall that i couldn’t get it into a picture. I am not 100% sure of the height but it is in the region of around 2400ft or 745m tall as just how height it is was kept a secret until its been finished.
Guys love adventure, most of us have that little screaming boy inside of us telling us to do things even when the adult inside of us says that we shouldn’t . OUr little screaming inner child is normally egged on by your best friends telling you that you can do it.
These two pictures remind me of just that moment before it all goes Pear shape, I think if i look at that Kid on the BMX i can see some of my mate sin the crowd telling him that he can do it.
I have been very blessed and luck to do a lot of cool stuff in my life, then Bar-one Manhunt came along and have helped me cross a lot more of my bucket list things off too.
But this was just super crazy, its called the Leap of Faith and it was the scariest thing i have ever done in my life.

So i was talking to a potential advertisor and friend for the new magazine we publishing, Triathlon Plus SA and we were argueing about the power of Viral Marketing like Blogs, Twitter, Facebook etc.
I said its a great way to go to grow brand awareness etc and he said he didnt think it worked.
Then he gave me a challenge and this is how it is going to work.

Rule # 3 : I only have the my Birthday month to do it, So from 1st March till 31st March
If i get this right he will pay for me to go and run the Great Wall of China Marathon which i really want to do.
Then get your friends to come to my site and do they same or post it up as your status, or twitter it. Lets show him that the underground in alive and well.
Lucky i already have a head start, so only 8900 odd to go.

So if you know me then you know that i have been talking about doing this for ages. But the thing is besides the money you have to pay to do it, you then also need to jump out of a plane.

Episode 4 is going to be explosive, excuse the pun. Here is a shot of a stunt i had to do where i was attached to a jerk cable and pulled from a exploding door….Why ? you ask.

We just rode on our Mountain bikes off the beaten track from George to Ashton to Raoul de Jongh’s wine farm. We rode passes like the Swartberg Pass and a place called ” Die Leer ” which we had to take our bikes apart and carry them up a 2km vertical climb with 600m elevation.
We had huge 10hr odd days for some of it and managed to ride 550km in 6 days.
