My road rig is there new Top end 2010 Frameset with full SRAM force, which is under the 2kg mark this year and retails for around R 8700.00 this is the best value for money out there as its lighter than the new dura ace and half the price. I finished her off with the new american classic victory wheelset which is good value for money and matches the rest of the bike and off course speedplay pedals. This weighs around 7kg complete and with training wheels…scarey, its a sub 900g frame so i had a good start there.

So i have been on the look out for something special when it comes to TT bars and i think i have found them. I am going to be importing ths brand of TT bars, they weigh 440g a set and although the extentions can’t adjust the arm rests can.
The extentions are in a such a sweet and perfect ride position though you wont need to change much. They will retail for R3800.00 so its excellent value and carry a 2 year warranty.
As you might know i was selected from the whole of SA to compete in the Bar One Man Hunt TV Show along with 13 other guys.
They are keeping us very underfed with information on what and where and how it is all going to happen.
But this is what i do know, i have to pack a lot of stuff, get a few injections, have my passport ready and take 3 weeks off work to be on set.
We met everybody for the first time last night and we got off to a great start, with my Team, The Black Team with KB, TK and myself winning the first challenge.
The show starts on 6th January 2010 on SABC3 at 8.30pm
Its been awhile since i have seen something by profile that i actually thought was cool. Yes they have been a leader in the TRI game for many years but a lot of the stuff last year and the year before looked like our grandfathers designed it.
So i was really happy to see 2 things yesterday that caught my eye at Troi Sport. First was a superlight and super good looking Alu Base bar with a interesting design. Second was a new design front end water bottle which i think i am actually going to buy myself.

They are the newest brand to join the Team Whasp Team and we are very excited. I have been using their stuff for about 3 years, here is me racing at 70.3 this year in their stuff

The Alpha is an all new wetsuit for 2009. Essentially it replaces the Apex 2 as our top of the range wetsuit, for good swimmers who want the highest levels of flexibility.
We are pretty excited about the suit as the feedback we have had from our sponsored athletes has been fantastic. Some key facts/features:
It’s the first Orca wetsuit to use Yamamoto #40 cell neoprene (over every part of the suit apart from the Aerodome panels).
It uses 1.5mm panels of neoprene across the arms, shoulders, chest, and these panels are cut into unique shapes to provide fantastic flexibility, the horseshoe shaped panel that runs from the underarm across the chest in particular really helps with extra flexibility). There’s also a high stretch nylon lining for increased flexibility.
Orca have reverted to the Yamamoto name “Aerodome” for the neoprene they’ve previously called AirLite – they developed this neoprene with Yamamoto a few years ago, and it’s proved popular because it provides about 30% more buoyancy than normal 5mm neoprene.
The Alpha (and the 3.8) also get a new forearm catch panel called AquaTread. Rather than printing silicon onto jersey they’ve used a moulded and pressed piece of neoprene to create more drag with each stroke.
I was very lucky yesterday to get one of the first new pairs of Puma Racers, these shoes rock..we have been running in them for about 9 months with no problems. But this is the new colour. Yellow when i run past you in one direction and grey when i run past you from the other way…OOBA COOL….
Super light too, lightest shoe they make apparently.
