Profile ups its Game

Its been awhile since i have seen something by profile that i actually thought was cool. Yes they have been a leader in the TRI game for many years but a lot of the stuff last year and the year before looked like our grandfathers designed it.

So i was really happy to see 2 things yesterday that caught my eye at Troi Sport. First was a superlight and super good looking Alu Base bar with a interesting design. Second was a new design front end water bottle which i think i am actually going to buy myself.

Go see all the new stuff at Troi Sport www.troisport.co.za or call them on 011 807 9050

Under Armour is Here…

They are the newest brand to join the Team Whasp Team and we are very excited. I have been using their stuff for about 3 years, here is me racing at 70.3 this year in their stuff

They have really come to the party and from what i have seen are taking the brand very seriously and plan to really push hard in the sporting arena.

I will be posting pictures of our new team stuff in the next few weeks but when i popped into Troisport this week i already saw their presence in the store.

So if yuo looking for something cool and by that i actually mean something to cool you down in the hot summer that is on its way or something to make you look good, give the boys at the shop a call on

Rudy Project new TT helmet

So yesterday i happen to stumble into Troisport and Werner happens to be wearing the new PROTOTYPE Rudy project TT helmet. I say prototype because it actually had a prototype sticker inside of it.

Its a great looking helmet and super ventilated and one of the lightest helmets i have ever felt. Retail price point is going to be around R2600.

You can pre order with the shop, it will come in black and white, both in a matt finish which is super cool.

There are only a couple coming in, so don’t delay

Everybody is going light weight

Most shoe companies going Light Weight these days, going back to the thinking that if a area is weak, don’t support it, make it stronger. Lighter less supportive shoes develop your weak area more. And of course you need to take baby steps in doing so.

100g seems to be the magical number that shoe companies try and get to when they say light weight, but most end up around 150g odd. Here is a sneak pic of the new Zoot Ultra Speeds, got it from Marc Price at Troisport who apart of the agency for ZOOT in SA, we have seen a few athletes testing them out in the last few races in Europe and should see them soon in SA. So watch this space and don’t be scared to get lighter shoes to train in and definitely race in
