Here is a few space age bikes i found that were considered bikes of the future and actually they still look pretty cool today.

Makes you wonder….have we really gone forward with technology ?

Previous Pictures of me and bikes at races

I have always had somethign different when i raced…Here are a few oldies.

Now that’s my Kind of Bike

A old friend of mine, Ross Hastie, told us years ago : ” if you can’t be first get onto TV ”

I have always lived like that and through the years i have gained the nickname “PORNSTAR” because i don’t mind being different and doing things differently and always have some new toy or pimped out piece of equipment.

So here is more the kind of bike i would ride, being the fastest isn’t always as important as looking like the fastest.

Cervelo P4 launched

Here is the long awaited Cervelo P4…I’m sure if i like it, my first impression is that i don’t like it, but i will wait to see all the technical info on it before i make up my mind, but don’t its too sexy…

I’m sure its fast in the wind tunnel, but its not sexy, as my mate David said he would sacrifice 10sec of speed for a sexy bike…

No more Ugly TT bikes

There was a time a few years ago that i would look at a TT bike and think…..Dam that’s Ugly and i am glad i dont ride one…

However these days every bike i see, i am super excited about, i recently changed brands after being with Cervelo for 4 years, moved to Specialized. My P3 was super fast and always performed but it had aggressive angles and wasn’t always the most comfortable ride, ;leaving wondering sometimes who was taking who out for a ride.

My Transition TT from specialized is more relaxed so more comfortable to ride and fun as its twicthy and with the sloping geometry climbs really nicely, but it too has its down sides, like the brakes, looks nice to start with, but nightmare to adjust between training and racing wheels as there is no little flick of a lever to open brakes, NO…you need allen keys and boys hands and a lot of patience.

Even smaller brands not really considered for their TT machines have come up trumps as you can see from the 2 bikes below, currently 2 of my favourite ones coming to a race course near you.

But no matter what you ride, get your position dialed in and comfy and efficient, see you on the road soon…
